posting a few pictures that are close to my heart. Being a military family has it's challenges and today I guess that's how I'm feeling.....a little challenged. My pictures console me. Some are from our first cruise ever way back in 91. Some are from our last cruise in 2002. Right now I get to enjoy my sailor at home for 1 more year!!!!! Nothing is guaranteed and these photos help me remember the things that are most precious to me.

Those long deployments must be hard, especially with a family. When I was talking to the recruiters, I just didn't like the idea of being away from my own people for that long. So I joined the Air Force. (Plus, I didn't like the Navy's bell-bottom dungarees; AF had better uniforms. That's what REALLY matters when you're 19. ) Tue 24-Feb-2004 12:29

kids had a snow day on monday, so we all made play dough. It still amazes me how simple play dough is to make and how long it keeps the kids entertained.

Good job of using a Snow day Tue 17-Feb-2004 21:05

The weather was mild so the kids got outside to start training for spring baseball. They're all on teams this year. We saw a double rainbow in the sky. Isn't that a sign of good luck?

a long but nice weekend. birthday party for 5 year old with TONS of people in my house. Lots of food, fun, kids, presents....We were exhausted afterwards (husband and I) but amazingly the kids were still going strong. I got to sleep in today. How nice. Didn't do anything constructive. I love it. I needed a nothing day. Tomorrow starts the rat race. I volunteered for the book fair all this week at elementary school. The joys of being a PTA momma. Registration for spring baseball x 4 this week also. I think I may end up coaching one of the teams. That's cool. I like stuff like that and I certainly have enuf boys that play on the teams. I have to gear up to live, eat and breath baseball during the season. Our life becomes practices and games for the entire season. But what's nice is that my husband doesn't have to go out to sea (with Navy) anytime soon, so I'll get to have some help from him. There have been seasons where I was doing baseball with the boys solo and it's easy to get baseball burnout! So lots of baseball means lots of pictures. Stay tuned!

Oh, what fun Fri 13-Feb-2004 03:55

Biker Baby
Flying Baby
more mohawk mayhem
View all 10 photos...
Loooong weekend....2 kids spent the nite on Friday, party on Saturday (...well, not really a party...more like friends who came over to do laundry during the day and stayed thru our movie night with another couple. We ate chinese food and then watched American Wedding...yuck), and then today was spentcleaning house, fixing cars and LAUNDRY. Laundry is everyday, though. The little girl in the photos is my friends daughter. She is quite possibly the happiest baby on earth. Today she is 5 months old. She is always smiling, and can be put down on the floor on a blanket and keep herself entertained.....such a pleasant baby. I get to take pictures of her whenever her parents come over. I love babies, especially when they're your friends' babies. My tubes are tied, so I just get to hold babies now, not make em'...
I hope this week goes well. It seemed like I was chasing my tail last week and always a few steps behind. I'm going to try to get to bed earlier this week too. I think that has a lot to do with my dragging. I'm sleepy now. goodnight.

Thanks for stopping by. The baby girl is really cute! Mon 2-Feb-2004 18:26

Boyz Will B Boyz

you know, when i finished up having children and found that i had all boys, I used to think that I'd never have a little girls hair to style. Turns out that I do DO the boyz hair....a lot. Last night they had 2 kids sleep over and they decided that they wanted mohawks. All of my kids need a haircut. The oldest is growing his hair out. I told him once it was long enuf, I would put pigtails in it and get him some cute little bows. He wasn't amused. The twins have curly hair so it was fun trying to put a straight mohawk down the center of their heads. The youngest just had fun watching. Here are a few sample's of how they looked last night. Enjoy.

Looks good Sat 31-Jan-2004 17:48

ok, so i admit. i really have no pictures to post today. but one of my new years' resolutions is consistency. So here is a modge podge (my mothers word) of pictures. mostly my photoshopping. the one of my son n I was taken today. He's the one who likes least to have his picture taken, but it's a different story with the webcam. The one of me and baby is an oldie but goodie. I put it up because he just made the comment to me that he couldn't wait till he was 18. Not sure why, but I don't think it was a compliment. Jeesh. What's a mother to do? A girl has been calling on the telephone since he got home from school. Girls r too fast nowadays. Girls scare me. Can't I put him in a bubble and be done with it?
I have a psychology paper due tomorrow by midnight. 5 pages, MLA style. About me.Why can't I just give the instructor the link to my fotopages?
Well, the kids are hungry again and it's almost time for feeding time at the zoo.

scanned some pictures when i was at my mother-in-laws house. She has so many wonderful pictures, but here are just a few that I had the opportunity to get my hands on, scan and edit. My husband as baby and his parents. They're from Santiago, Chile. They came to America when my mother-in-law was a few months pregnant.

has your husband seen them yet Wed 28-Jan-2004 00:33
