If you've followed my page, you know that my husband is in the Navy. We live in a Navy community and live a navy life. I hate to say that we're getting "used" to soldiers getting killed everyday, but it does seem like a tragic part of every day life.
Tonight as I was getting ready to go to a baseball game, I caught out of the corner of my eye a familiar picture on the TV during a local newscast. 2 US soldiers killed. I couldn't read down to where his name was soon enough to confirm my fears. My friend Chris. Killed. Suicide bomber on a boat. I'm sick about it. He'd only been over there for two months. The last thing I said to him was hurry home and be safe. That's all I can say about this. I'm still in shock.

Chilly windz at the beach but it was nice to go and sit a spell.
Kids don't care how chilly it is. One even got in the water.
Brrrrrrr.....
Can't wait till warmer water weather.

Remember these days...
|

Some highlights from T-ball.
I've decided that this age (5 to 6) is my favorite age for baseball.
It's before they get serious.
Non-competitive.
All about fun.
When a kid gets up to bat off the T, he hits the ball and runs to the pitchers mound, to third base, to the dugouts....anywhere but first base.
And the kids in the outfield don't care.
They're busy digging in the dirt,
dancing,
talking,
looking at the sky watching the planes go by
(we're Navy so no shortage of air traffic).
It's magic.
It's simple.
It's T-ball.
A ball.
A tee.
A bat.
A beautiful, sunny day.
I hope he always remembers these days.
I know I will.

Not sure if I made a mistake or not. I let the kids join a skate park....just bc we're not @ the emergency room enuf.
But oh my gosh....sooooo much fun. We've been there over the past 2 days.
So far just a lot of bumps and bruises and hurt tail bones.
Knock on wood.
Fingers crossed.
Wish us luck.

Took the girl to the dog park. She did EXCELLENT!!! She's a big dog stuck in a lil body. She will definately get taken there again. Two of the cutest chihauahuas there. All kindsa doggies.

Easter Sunday

Fun on Easter....easter bunny visits then we go to a museum to look at sea creatures followed by eating sea creatures at Captain George's. If u like seafood, and ever come to Virginia Beach, that is the place to go for good eats.
